|Rescue Me ID: 14-08-26-00151Max (male)|
Max is an absolutely charming 6 1/2 month old Jack Russell/Chihuahua blend. This busy boy walks OK on a leash but doesn't appear to have learned many manners. Since he is alert and makes great eye contact, we think he will learn quickly. Max appears both house and kennel trained; he knows how to sit and takes treats gently. That said, he is an all round rambunctious dude. It is reported that he is good with other dogs and older children but not so good with younger children (under 8) or kitties. Max likes toys and engages in active play; he is interested in balls but once he's chased them down, he doesn't know what to do with them. If you're looking for four legged bundle of energy, stop by and meet Max today. If you want to apply for Max, go to http://www.meridianvalleyhumanesociety.com/pre-adopt-questionnaire.rtf to fill out an application. After completing the application, e-mail it to email@example.com. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will contact the person chosen to adopt him. *Max's adoption fee includes his neuter, which will be scheduled prior to him going to his new home. Hi my name is squeeky I am a older dog and very mellow. I like other dogs and get along with children but I would say ages 5 and up because I am older and like to be petted but not sat on. I am very loyal and love to sit next to you and give and get love. I would be perfect for a retired couple or a older person. My owner has had me for Eight years but she moving to another city for a job and she will be living in a town house and she will not have a yard for me to sun in. I am house trained I love to walk on a leash and I love to go for car rides. I also enjoy baths very much. Squeeky is and would be a awesome companion for someone she would do really well with a retired person. Let me know if you have any questions. Blenda (Less)

Jack Russell Dogs can make good pets in Idaho if they match your IifestyIe. The Jack Russell Terrier is a witty, highly intelligent and trainable working dog. Jack Russells are cheeky, entertaining pets. Jack Russells do well with considerate children but do not like to be teased. Jack Russells need a dominant owner experienced in firm obedience training. The Jack Russell Terrier has strong hunting instincts and should not be trusted with small animals. This scrappy Terrier may fight with dogs with which he is not socialized from an early age. Jack Russells can live in an apartment but need plenty of exercise and do best with a yard. Jack Russells can climb and dig under fences, and need to be kept on a leash when walking.
