Rescue Me ID: 16-02-08-00249Kerby (male)

Jack Russell Mix    Age: Puppy

Kerby is a year old Whippet/Jack Russell mix. As you may imagine, he has lots of energy and will need an active home to keep him at his best. He is reported to be good with other dogs and may do best with a playmate to keep him entertained and wear off some of the energy. We've also been told that Kerby is kennel and house trained. Kerby walks OK on a leash but wants to go, go, go and will need some work on his manners in this department. Kerby is a compact guy who could do well in an apartment setting as long as he receives regular exercise. If you'd like to meet Kerby, visit the rescue during our business hours, 11 am - 4 pm daily. ... (Read More)*Please contact the rescue for Kerby's adoption fee. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-02-08-00162Blue (male)

Jack Russell Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Neutered

Blue is a two year old Jack Russell/Rat Terrier mix. He sports a handsome dark silver/grey coat and lots of personality. Blue is fine with other dogs; we don't know how he is around cats and other animals. Apparently he's not so good with children so we're requesting a home with adults or more mature/older children. Blue is just a snuggle bug and knows how to work the angles for love and attention. He is a bit thin & needs some extra calories but that hasn't dulled his zest for life. Blue enjoys getting out and about, has some leash experience, but will benefit from continued work on his manners. If you'd like to meet Blue, visit the rescue ... Rescue Me ID: 16-01-20-00786Marty (male)

Jack Russell Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Marty! Marty is a lovable, one year young Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix. He is a very good boy who is full of love and has a happy heart. He is a lot of fun, we nicknamed him Marty the party animal because he likes to be the center of attention and he always wants to play. He did fine with visiting dogs at our home; he wanted to play with them. He probably will not do well with cats, he wanted to go after one that he saw at the shelter. He sleeps quietly in his crate at night and has done well with being housebroken. He needs to be kept indoors with the family as he gets cold easily and really likes human company. Marty has received an FHO ... (Read More)surgery (hip) and has been in foster care resting up and having a ball! He has since recovered and is ready for his forever home. He had the surgery about five weeks ago and may need encouragement using his leg. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-01-10-00172Betty (female)

Jack Russell Mix    Age: Adult

Health: Spayed

This sweet girl just came in from California and is now looking for a new home. Betty is an 8 year old spayed female Jack Russell mix that is house and kennel trained. This sweet girl recently had mammary tumors removed and is feeling much better now. Betty is also known as 'Hop-a-long' because of her cute little hop/skip gait; she loves to go on brisk walks and would be a great companion for someone who likes to get out for morning walks everyday. Betty isn't particularly fond of children and needs to be an only pet in her new home. If you like to walk, have no other animals or kids, and want a great loyal friend to spend your days with, ...
