Jackson Currently 8 weeks old Currently 4 lbs Terrier/Hound Mix Jackson and his 3 siblings were found in a box outside a warehouse in Tennessee. A wonderful foster mom in Tennessee took them in and made them healthy. A week later they made their trip to Illinois to find their forever home! We're not really sure what these pups are mixed with because they're so small, but they sure are CUTE! Jackson is in a foster home now along with his sister, Jasmine . He is spunky and sweet. He plays well with his sister and his foster siblings (3 large dogs and one sassy cat). He is working on his housebreaking and doing very well! Jackson plays hard ... (Read More)and sleeps hard! He also loves to cuddle in your lap when he is done playing. Jackson would do well in a home with other pets and kids. He is crate trained at night and when no one is home. He is ready for his forever home! Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies. Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a 'teen' or adult dog. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed. (Less)

*MUST LIVE IN 50-MILE RADIUS OF ITASCA (A SUBURB OF CHICAGO) WITHIN THE ILLINOIS BORDER TO ADOPT, NO EXCEPTIONS!* Hi Friends! Are you looking to have a sweet, attentive companion by your side? If so, I may just be the little gentleman for you. My name is Shorty and I am a small 13-pound little Jack Russell Terrier mix. I have crisp clean white fur with cute little black ears and black around my head and face. I also have some little tan patches to create the look of cheeks and eyebrows, so you can tell how happy I am to be around you. I am 11 years young, and that is exactly how I behave: I am still a youngster at heart! I would love ... (Read More)nothing more than to please my forever family and do all the things they love to do. I am great on walks, in the car, or just hanging out by your side while you do your yard work. I just love the outdoors! My foster mom takes me on all sorts of adventures and I love to visit my friends at the dog park. I love the outdoors so much that my favorite little toy is a stuffed squirrel, and oh boy I wish he were real! My ideal forever home is, well, any home with a person or family that will love me forever! I get along great with all dogs and cats. I also love all human friends including kiddos! I would like a fenced in back yard to spend lots of time outdoors, but it is not required. I would be perfectly suited for a nice person who would take me out on walks to the park or around the neighborhood. Here is some more great news: as much as I love to spend time with my people, I am perfectly content to be home alone all day while they go to work. I am completely potty trained, and while I am crate trained, my foster mommy leaves me out all day and I don't touch a thing! I can sit and take treats really nice when I have been a good little doggie. I do need to have soft food and treats because I had some teeth pulled and it is tough for me to chew hard kibble. If you think I could be the little dog to fill your day with love and devotion, please get in touch with my friends at Fetching Tails soon and tell them Shorty is the happy-go-lucky, fun guy for you! Love, Shorty ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS, NO EXCEPTIONS: *ADOPTION FEE: $75 *Atleast 21 years of age *Live in a 50-mile radius of Itasca, within the Illinois border *Have the knowledge and agreement of all adults living in the household *Have approval from owner of residence (written in lease) *Have a valid ID with current address (please provide proof of address if ID address is not up-to-date) *Be approved as a suitable adoptive home by Fetching Tails Foundation *Be prepared to make a lifetime commitment If interested please fill out an application on our website at; please make sure you fill in every required field/question or your submission will not go through. Atlas is trained to go outside and loves running. Atlas is a smart, sweet little buddy that will be a long-time part of the family. He is neutered and has a 'chip'. He needs a great home with a lot of love and a FENCED YARD. He's just over a year old. Note: If the ad is up, he is STILL available. We will only consider Illinois adoptions.
