Please read entire description. If ad is still available, then we are still accepting applications. No phone calls. The 1st and required step of the adoption process is to complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. Mickey's adoption fee is $175. We are looking for a family home with a fenced yard for Mickey. Read further for more details. Meet Mickey. This 7 month old, Jack Russell Terrier mix is looking for a new home after his owner suffered from a stroke and can no longer care for him. Mickey was very loved but needs to work on learning all the puppy basics like manners and some basic commands. He is happy and energetic. He loves everyone he meets. Mickey is crate trained and house trained on a schedule. He has not spent any time with other dogs, but we suspect he would love a playmate to run with in a fenced yard. Mickey is fairly quiet and not exceptionally barky. He does like some action but is content to settle down and cuddle as well. Mickey would be good with children who can handle his jumpy excitement. We are unsure how he would do with cats. Mickey is used to sleeping on a doggy bed at night, but would prefer to be on the couch or bed with his people. Mickey is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. If interested in meeting Mickey, the first and required step of the adoption process is to complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. His adoption fee is $175. (Less)

Please read entire description. If interested in meeting this dog, please complete an adoption application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. This is the first and required step of the adoption process. If the ad is still listed, we are still accepting applications. Maggie's adoption fee is $125. Meet Maggie. This 7 year old , middle aged Jack Russell / Chihuahua mix weighs about 11 pounds. She came to us from an over crowded shelter in Southern Indiana. She was originally an unclaimed stray. Maggie is sweet and would likely be fine around other dogs, cats, and gentle children. She is very friendly with strangers and likes to explore the yard. She would do best in a fenced yard or would always have to be leashed and secure outside. Maggie is spayed, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, and microchipped. She is crate trained and would likely be housetrained quickly on a schedule and routine. If you are interested in Maggie, please complete an adoption application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. Her adoption fee is $125 (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 18-04-10-00281Dash (male)|
We're already in love. Dash is a complete cutie pie. He is about 8 years old, is neutered, and is around 15 pounds - he's just a little guy! He would be a perfect fit for someone who lives a quiet and relaxed lifestyle. Dash is a reserved and quiet fellow himself! He enjoys going on walks and really walks beautifully on a leash; he also knows how to sit and overall has very polite manners. Dash also does great with being house-trained and doesn't cause many issues at all when left alone. Dash would prefer his new owners not pick him up too quickly - it makes him nervous and he doesn't seem to be a huge fan of it. He has been known to be snippy when being moved off of furniture, as well. Please take it slow as Dash learns his boundaries. In order to set him up for success, children should probably be about 12 and older. He likes to adjust to new people at his own pace, please be patient as he gets to know you. He is very much so worth it! Dash has done well around most other dogs and would love a nice fursibling! He doesn't seem to show much interest either way with kitties, so with a proper introduction - he could enjoy a feline friend! Please check back for update on this handsome pup! (Less)

Jack Russell Dogs can make good pets in Indiana if they match your IifestyIe. The Jack Russell Terrier is a witty, highly intelligent and trainable working dog. Jack Russells are cheeky, entertaining pets. Jack Russells do well with considerate children but do not like to be teased. Jack Russells need a dominant owner experienced in firm obedience training. The Jack Russell Terrier has strong hunting instincts and should not be trusted with small animals. This scrappy Terrier may fight with dogs with which he is not socialized from an early age. Jack Russells can live in an apartment but need plenty of exercise and do best with a yard. Jack Russells can climb and dig under fences, and need to be kept on a leash when walking.
