Rescue Me ID: 17-10-12-00507Snaggles (male)

Jack Russell Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Mr. Snaggles. One look at his mug and you will know how he got that name. Too bad doggies braces aren't really a thing. But it gives him a unique look. He may sometimes look like he is snarling at someone, but he is really a sweetie. Snaggles is 3 year old totally mixed breed. There is some kind of terrier in there, but who knows what other breeds are mixed in this boy. He is the perfect size at 30 pounds, not too big, but not too small. Snaggles came to us by way of a transport that was moving dogs out of shelters in Texas after Hurricane Harvey to make room for any strays picked up after the hurricane. Snaggles is getting used ... (Read More)to the cooler weather, but otherwise is happy to be in Iowa. He is living in a foster home with children and another dog. He is great with the kids and other dogs. He is very playful and loves to play with toys and fetch balls. If you like to go for walks, Snaggles is good on a leash and enjoys getting around town. Snaggles is kennel trained and housetrained. He likes to snuggle and would like to sleep with his people. Snaggles is up to date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. He is heartworm positive and undergoing treatment following the American Heartworm Society's protocol. Snaggles would like to find his forever home but until he is through treatment (about 2 months) we would place him in a foster to adopt situation. We want to pay for, and follow through on his heartworm treatment before we complete his adoption. We would like Snaggles to be with his forever family while he goes through heartworm treatment and would complete his adoption when he finishes treatment. If you would like to meet Snaggles, please complete the adoption application on our website: www.furfunrescue.org. If you have questions about Snaggles you can contact rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Indoor homes only. Adopters within an hour of Cedar Rapids, IA only, please. Adoption donation $200. Jack Russell    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Mr. Edward was adopted from us right after we first started operating in 2013. He has been a loving companion to his family and had visited us several times over the years. It is with a sad heart that he is now looking for a new home due to a severe illness in the family that did not permit him to stay with the family he has certainly grown to love over the last four years. He is a Jack Russell Terrier who is now almost 7 years old. He is as close to perfect as they come. He is housebroken, walks wonderful on a leash, is good with other dogs, is excellent with people. He does still have lots of energy in typical JR style. He has known ... (Read More)nothing but love and an excellent home for the past four years and now he is looking for someone who can show him just as much love as he has gotten used to. Our heart goes out to his former family and we know this was a very difficult decision to make. If you are interested in meeting Edward he is here at the shelter and looking for a new family to give him love. (Less)
