Rescue Me ID: 17-07-10-00101Teddy (male)

Jack Russell Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Teddy is a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful dog! I truly mean that. This, no kidding, breaks my heart to even write this. Teddy is in the need of a good home who loves animals and will provide him the attention and care he needs. Teddy by no means deserves anything less. Teddy was rescued from our local animal shelter approximately five years ago under a program called Pets for Patriots. Everything told to us about him as to why he was there in the first place was not true. However, after having him it was very apparent as to what Teddy's 'issue' was which is exactly why it wasn't ever disclosed to us and/or originally to the shelter ... (Read More)because nobody would have probably taken him. This is why it needs to be fully understood. Teddy is not potty trained. Due to this and because we are moving into a new house, Teddy is not allowed to come along. I believe Teddy was never trained or even trained properly and this has set him up for failure for the future. I also believe that he was with other dogs that he had to compete with for affection and at the dinner table (so to speak; really mean at the food bowl). Teddy, feels the need to have to mark his territory, and at times is hesitant to eat/drink even though we have no other dogs in the house. I believe this has lead to Teddy to develop a little anxiety/nervousness. However and with that being said, Teddy acts beautifully and LOVES being around OTHER DOGS. Also, Teddy WILL however IN THE PRESENCE OF YOU let you know he has to go. However, if you aren't around (even for a little bit) and haven't put him outside I believe Teddy gets nervous and goes. There are very good qualities Teddy does have. Teddy is such a lover. I am not kidding! I have two young children and he behaves as you would hope and expect with children (even around food, bones, toys, etc.). Teddy loves to walk and run! Especially at dog parks or at doggy camp. He loves to be groomed and cuttled with. Teddy loves to go on car rides (he gets a little excited ;) ) Teddy sheds very little to almost nothing. Nothing more than the average human. That is amazing about him! Teddy would be a good fit for the stay at home parent, retiree, and or anyone else who is devoted and can provide the time to him. The long hours of a working individual/family and/or being gone for lengthy periods is not a good fit for Teddy. I hope and pray that Teddy and that special someone out there will come together where Teddy can finish out his many years to come all the while bring joy to that someone's life. I know Teddy can do that. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-05-21-00066Twix (male)

Jack Russell Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

This adorable little guy is Twix. Twix is a 3 year old, 17lb Terrier blend. Our best guess is perhaps he is Jack Russell/Shiba Inu but it is sometimes hard to categorize a mixed breed. Whatever his breed, he sure is adorable! Twix is sweet natured, and very playful. He can be a tad on the dominant side when playing with other dogs but takes correction well both by his doggy playmate or his human. He is house trained, crate trained and walks well on leash. If you think this adorable boy could be a match for you, please send an inquiry today! Twix is fully vetted and microchipped.

Rescue Me ID: 17-05-10-00584Sadie (female)

Jack Russell Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Deaf

Sadie is an 8 yr old Jack Russell/Rat Terrier mix looking for her forever home. She's a very sweet and special girl with a calm disposition. She's 'quite shy at first but once she comes out of her shell she won't stop following you around. Young children and hyper dogs that get in her face tend to make Sadie nervous, causing her to nip so she will benefit best in a calm, quiet environment without young children or dogs that won't give her the space she needs. She does do fine with dogs that are more at her speed. We were told she's 100% deaf but we do wonder if at times she can hear certain loud noises. Sadie is housebroke/crate trained ... (Read More)and completely vetted and spayed. Her adoption fee is $250 with an approved application (plus the fee towards gas for any home visit/possible adoption). There is more information on the adoption application. If you have any further questions or would like the adoption application, please contact us! (Less)
