Buddy would be a great animal for some one who is in need of company. He is not great with other dogs but is great with kids. He has a dominance issue with pee. We have another dog and he has fought with him. He has also fought with my mothers dog. We cannot have this as we have just had our second child. He would be a great best friend for someone. We do not want to give him away but we are now left with no choice. Please help. He is brown and white and is a Shorty. We love him but know he would be better with someone else. Shorty's only parent, ( an elderly lady and my neighbor) died.. leaving Shorty with no home. I don't know how old he is.. I would guess about 9. I took him in 3 years ago because he had no place to go. He doesn't get along with children very well... especially if they try to handle him. He has bitten my granddaughter, and is very territorial. The FedEx and UPS drivers don't like him ( just bit the pant leg of the FedEx driver today), but he does get along with the propane guy. We had a cat, and at first Shorty wanted to attack him, but not so soon after they became great friends and played together. He is neutered. His only health ... (Read More)issue has been licking his right paw. The vet didn't know what was causing it. I have put him on a diet of no grain health natural dog food. It seems to help although the paw thing seems to come and go anyway. I have to travel, my wife works.. and Shorty can't be trusted around kids, especially my granddaughter. I worry about the neighbor kids maybe getting bit when they come over to visit as well. He would be most comfortable with a senior or older adult looking for a friend. I hate to see him go, he has been a loyal friend, but I have little choice now. He loves to sit beside you.. and go for walks by your side. I want a good home for him. approx. 10 yr old Jack Russell Terrier Male. Loves to run, play, especially with balls and squeaky toys, daily walks, and snuggles on the couch. He's good temperamentally, however not good with small children. I have recently had a baby and he is not adjusting well to life with baby. He would be best in a home without small children (under 10). I have a 10 yr old and he does great with her. He has all vaccines, Rabies is good for 5 yrs and heartworm good for 6 months. Almost 10 yr old Jack Russell Terrier in need of a new, good home. I recently had a baby and he has not adjusted well to the new situation. He is an energetic, loving dog that enjoys, walks, playing with balls and squeaky toys, swims in the lake, and snuggles on the couch. He has a good temperament he just does not do well with small children. I have a 10 yr old daughter and he does great with her. Binky is a sweet six year old Jack Russell, Papillon mix. He is a very loving dog, it breaks our hearts to have to find him a new home. My daughter is getting married and moving in with her husband to be; his daughter is asmatic and highly allergic to animals and so she is not able to take Binky with her. Binky and my daughter have lived with us for the last three years; however, my husband is about to retire and we want to be able to travel and are at a point in our lives where we are not able to have a lot of responsibility with pets. I suggest that he will do best in a home where he will get all the attention, as he attaches himself to his owner in a very strong and loving way. He will get jealous of another animal who tries to share his owners lap or take his owners attention away while he's on his owners lap. Binky however, is not a mean spirited dog. We have two cats in our home at this time and he is good with them; however, doesn't like it when they appoach his food bowl. He has never attacked our hurt a cat or dog, he will only try and chase a cat away from his food bowl. He does enjoy playing with other dogs; however, does still like all of his owners attentioin. He makes a wonderful family pet. He's house trained and if you put a bell at your door, he will ring it to go outside. He will go potty outside on command. 'Dewey' became a 'misplaced dog' through no fault of his own. It's just that everyone in his former family took on day jobs, leaving them with not enough time to spend with him. In fairness to 'Dewey,' they decided he should have a home where all his love, attention and little 'Dewey kisses' would be more appreciated. He is an 8-year-old, tri-color, smooth-coated Jack Russell Terrier. He gets along great with other dogs of all sizes and doesn't even seem to mind having to live with some cats. Jack Russell Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. The Jack Russell Terrier is a witty, highly intelligent and trainable working dog. Jack Russells are cheeky, entertaining pets. Jack Russells do well with considerate children but do not like to be teased. Jack Russells need a dominant owner experienced in firm obedience training. The Jack Russell Terrier has strong hunting instincts and should not be trusted with small animals. This scrappy Terrier may fight with dogs with which he is not socialized from an early age. Jack Russells can live in an apartment but need plenty of exercise and do best with a yard. Jack Russells can climb and dig under fences, and need to be kept on a leash when walking.
