Snickers is a very smart (sometimes feisty) little guy who just wants to be loved & snuggled (esp on a couch or bed)! He would do best as the only pet with someone home most of the time as he can have some separation anxiety if left alone. He LOVES people of all ages. He now lives in a home with adults, kids as young as 2, & another larger male dog, though he does try to be the Alpha male (food/treats need to be given separately). He does tricks & likes to play tug-o-war & would be great at an obstacle course! He responds well to a remote control training collar, but needs someone with time & patience to work & play with him. We've enjoyed his fun personality, but he needs a place where people are home more & where he has space to run, preferably a large, fenced yard or invisible fencing. If left unattended, he will run & can be aggressive if he encounters another animal. I hope you will enjoy Snicky as much as we have! (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 17-12-29-00321Dixie (female)|
Dixie is a fun loving dog, but needs more attention than our family can give her anymore. If she gets overweight then she can have Patellar Luxation problems, but if kept to a healthy weight she is a healthy girl. She gets anxious and prefers a strong relationship with one primary adult. That being said, she loves people and other animals when given an opportunity to adjust. She has been raised with small children, other dogs and other cats. She does get jealous and wants the most attention. She is very food motivated, so she will quiver and beg. Our biggest issue is that because she is alone for so many hours of the day she is not let out enough and potty's on the floor. She needs to be in a family that can give her attention and take her out every 3 to 4 hours to relieve herself. We want her in a loving home that can give her the love and attention she deserves. She is very attached to the mom in the family, so there is some anxiety of the mom that she will be very sad to leave. Please only respond if you are willing to give her a ton of love and attention. Jack Russell Dogs can make good pets in Minnesota if they match your IifestyIe. The Jack Russell Terrier is a witty, highly intelligent and trainable working dog. Jack Russells are cheeky, entertaining pets. Jack Russells do well with considerate children but do not like to be teased. Jack Russells need a dominant owner experienced in firm obedience training. The Jack Russell Terrier has strong hunting instincts and should not be trusted with small animals. This scrappy Terrier may fight with dogs with which he is not socialized from an early age. Jack Russells can live in an apartment but need plenty of exercise and do best with a yard. Jack Russells can climb and dig under fences, and need to be kept on a leash when walking.
