Animal ID: 15-03-22-00467cheechie (male)
Cheechie was a recused dog, found in a ditch full of worms. brought back to health, given shots and I purchased him from the lady who found him. Not fully house trained still working on it will go on paper and outside if new owner is what I call doggie trained. He is a loving dog with owners but needs special care taken with strangers. He is very territorial and guards his family. Barks about strangers coming into the house or property and will nip them if not watched. He is just adorable and loving, I only need a home for him because I am 76 and need to move into a low income housing and they won't allow pets. It breaks my heart because I love him to death. He needs a home who will take special care of and love him. the vet believes he is a full jack but of course there are no papers to confirm that. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-03-02-00024Sam (male)
Sam is 3 or 4 year old Jack Russell that is in need of a forever home with lots of running room! Sam is great with kids and adults. He does not get along with our 2 dachshunds and he will kill cats and rabbits if they are around. He would be an awesome hunting dog!

Rescue Me ID: 15-02-26-00568Sparky-Pending Adoptio (male)
Sparky is a one year old wire haired Jack Russel Terrier. This young gent hails all the way from Tennessee! Sparky is playful with the dogs in his foster home and is quickly learning to walk nicely on a leash. He may need some help learning self confidence - he is slightly hesitant towards new people but loves attention and will bond quickly. He will need a home with kids over the age of 10. The suggested adoption donation for Sparky is $350 which goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts only to people living in states neighboring Nebraska and requires the adopter to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not transport or fly our rescue dogs. A securely fenced yard is necessary to adopt one of our terriers. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment for terriers. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-05-23-00389Milo (male)
Milo is a 3-4 year old Dachshund/Jack Russell mix with Blue River Pet Rescue who urgently needs a new foster home. He's neutered and seems to do fine with most other animals. Due to previous abuse, Milo is slow to warm up and needs a very dog-savvy person who can help him reach his full potential. He'd do best in a low-traffic home with no young children. Milo can't be crated, but does fine if left in a small room when his people are gone.

Jack Russell Dogs can make good pets in Nebraska if they match your IifestyIe. The Jack Russell Terrier is a witty, highly intelligent and trainable working dog. Jack Russells are cheeky, entertaining pets. Jack Russells do well with considerate children but do not like to be teased. Jack Russells need a dominant owner experienced in firm obedience training. The Jack Russell Terrier has strong hunting instincts and should not be trusted with small animals. This scrappy Terrier may fight with dogs with which he is not socialized from an early age. Jack Russells can live in an apartment but need plenty of exercise and do best with a yard. Jack Russells can climb and dig under fences, and need to be kept on a leash when walking.
