Jack Russell    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Due to unforeseen circumstances, as well as a drastic living change, I am unable to take my 2 dogs with me when I move at the end of the month. They are both purebred, spayed, up to date on shots, and great with people. I have no other animals/no children, so I am unsure how they are with kids/other animals. Ideally, I would like to keep both dogs together, as they have been together since I got them, however need to find them both a safe and loving home. Both dogs need a loving home, and I am hoping to find someone to offer that to them!

He now lives with several dogs/cats with a fenced in yard. He really just wants to be with me (his human person). He loves to snuggle and sit on your lap on go under a blanket. I feed him separately from my dogs to avoid any issues. He has a lot of energy. I have crate trained him for bed time and when we are not home. He has had a few accidents in the house. Rescue Me ID: 17-01-28-00216Callye (female)

Jack Russell Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Aggressive, Fearful/Anxious

This is Callye! I adopted Callye from a kill shelter in Las Vegas, NV about 6 years ago. When i asked why she was in the shelter, they informed me that she was found, and then returned about 5 times from 5 different families. When i looked at the list of reasons why she was returned, all of them were listed as behavioral issues like jumping on the bed to sleep, or getting onto the kitchen table. I knew i could save her life and correct these issues, so i adopted her. I was told that she was dog/cat/children friendly, but when i took her to the dog park, i quickly learned otherwise. She was very dog aggressive. I decided to just keep her at ... (Read More)home with me and train her, and she is VERY SMART and is a FAST learner. We broke the habits, but one i could not handle was her anxiety when i would leave for work. I would get home and she would bite herself until she was bleeding. I felt horrible. so my parents in NJ decided to take her, regardless of the fact that they had 3 Labs. My parents have had Callye now for about 6 years, and they love her, but her dog aggression issues have finally become too much to handle. The dog fights she starts are aggressive and harmful, and it has now come to the point that she needs to find a different home. Callye would be a WONDERFUL pet for a couple with no dogs, cats, or children. She gets a little aggressive when you tell her no, or when you startle her, but i believe it's because she is always on edge with the other dogs around. When she lived with just me, i never saw any of these aggressive tendencies. She needs someone who is home often. She needs someone who will love her, pay attention to her, and teach her. It breaks my heart that we can not keep her anymore, but at this point, its selfish for us to have her when she is living this uncomfortable, unsafe life with the other dogs around. Please feel free to contact if you have further questions. Shes older, and it would be the best thing for her to finish out her life peaceful and happy. (Less)

We rescued Buster when he was 1 year old. The couple who adopted Buster had a baby and Buster would growl around the baby. Actually Buster is talkative and he loves to sing. He is very playful. He adores balls and socks. Buster loves to snuggle but not be picked up. Buster goes to the sliding door to let us know it's time to go outside. He is use to a 30 ft lead. He also loves to walk but is a puller. We need a loving person to adopt Buster. Someone special who will care. We are forced to relocate from NJ to FL into a small rental due to foreclosure. Are you the person who will provide TLC to a great entertaining dog?

Rescue Me ID: 17-01-21-00049Zippy (male)

Jack Russell    Age: Adult

Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Aggressive

Zippy has been our family dog for 8 years. He has been loved but with his unpredictable 'Jack Russell' behavior, it is hard to trust him with our busy household (4 kids with friends over all the time). He is a very protective dog and has been responsible for biting a few delivery men, yard workers etc. He most recently got testy with some kids running through the house and that's when we knew we could not keep a biting dog in our house. Not worth the risk, with his unpredictable behavior, to have him bite one of our kids or their friends. We also don't know what his personality would be like around other dogs. He really only knows our other ... (Read More)dog (female Mastiff). He has never had contact with cats that we know of but he was good buddies with a deer fawn when he was younger (we got him from a family with a farm in California). He has the typical Jack Russell personality, sometimes liking affecting, sometimes not. Good dog but just not for our family. Very sad for us to make this decision. He also has an implanted chip. Jack Russell Mix    Age: Senior

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Dixie & Rebel were surrendered to us after their owner passed away and they had nowhere else to go. They are both friendly and gentle little dogs. Dixie and Rebel are sister & brother and they are 14 years old. Dixie needs drops in her eyes daily as she suffers from low vision, but otherwise seems healthy. Rebel also needs the same eye drops daily and he is also on medication for a thyroid condition. They get along with the other dogs in their foster home. They are easy-going, quiet, and a loving pair. Both are learning to walk on a leash, have great manners, and love to cuddle with their foster mom or each other. They are both paper ... (Read More)pad and outside potty trained. They are also both crate trained, but want to be together. These two adorable Chi mix seniors have been together since they were 7 weeks old. They are a bonded pair and need to live out their golden years together. Please help Dixie and Rebel find the loving home they deserve. From their foster Mom: They are very gentle, they still love leaning on each other - Rebel gets more excited if he can't find Dixie. Dixie a little more laid back. They are both great with their eye medicine & Rebel takes his pills with some food. Dixie & Rebel have such easy going personalities. They are paper trained and outside trained as well.
