Rescue Me ID: 15-03-04-00478AMBROSIA (female)
AMBROSIA was saved from Montgomery Animal Shelter on 28th February 2015. She was with 3 other puppies that are wire-haired terriers, so we are unsure of what breed she is. AMBROSIA was very fearful at first but once she got settled she became the sweetest love bug ever. She does air on the side of caution and will make sure that you really want her to come to you before she makes that step to come over. She is gaining confidence with time and although I am sure when she leaves the rescue she will be fully confident, I think she will again be cautious until she knows she can trust her new family. AMBROSIA gets on great with the other pups and doesn't seem bothered with the older dogs. She plays great with the smaller pups and those her own age and size. We don't have cats in the rescue so we cannot say how she will act, however, since she is young, with correct guidance and training and letting her satisfy any curiosity I am confident she can live in harmony with any feline friends. AMBROSIA will benefit from a family that understands her need to learn to trust and who have the time and dedication to work with her on basic and advanced training. This not only helps form a strong bond, but also enables boundaries and expectations to be set and both family and her body language be learnt. AMBROSIA is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, de-wormed and micro-chipped. She is too young to be heart-worm tested but has been on prevention since arriving at the rescue. AMBROSIA has an estimated date of birth of 21 October 2015 and at the time of rescue she weighed 15.6 pounds, but was also very skinny. AMBROSIA is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home, German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of $300. Transport - West Coast Although LOCATED in TEXAS we are using Paws Without Borders, a highly reputable animal rescue transport company to re-locate our dogs from rescue to meet their families along the West Coast, raveling up I5 as far as Everett, WA (This allows us to save more dogs from the high rate kill shelters here in Texas). This is a private company and their transport fee (which is paid directly to them) are $150, $200, $250 depending on the crate size. Most of our dogs will be the $200 or $250 crate size. This fee is in addition to what you would pay the rescue for the adoption fee. If you are interested in adopting this precious girl, please go to our website and under the APPLICATION tab our application process and form can be found and submitted. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-03-01-00692Lucy (female)
Lucy is a chi/terrier mix. She's 3.5 years old, weighs about 8 lbs., up-to-date on all shots, housebroken, and recently had a teeth cleaning. She is microchipped as well. She loves to ride in the car, travel, and go for long walks (she's excellent on a leash). She does not, however, like children, other dogs (especially other females), and busy environments. If you can provide her with a quiet forever home, please contact me for an application. This is a very difficult decision for us and we'll not place in anything less than the ideal situation.

Rescue Me ID: 14-07-23-00692Lilly (female)
My name is Lilly. I am an adult girl, and weigh about 18 pounds. I would love a family that has time for me. I am house trained once you have my schedule down...I am extremely loving, and would love to spend the majority of my time with you, or just giving you kisses. I love to go for walks, and for rides.. I am not so little that you need to carry me everywhere.... When I see the leash...I am so ready to go...it would be so much fun to do everything with you, and be you best friend.. I even love curling up with you in bed. Once I know you, I will give you lots of sweet kissies... I do well with kitties at first, but then I will chase them. I had an injury just above the top of my tail, and there is a little scaring, but not very noticeable I would love to have a person of my very own...If you might be that special person for me ...Please email email@example.com for an application, and tell us a little about the home you have for me, where you are located, and a phone number would also be nice....I am waiting. Application, a great home with a fenced yard, and my adoption fee of $150 is required. I will bring my collar, leash, and all the love you can stand....Until we have received your completed application we can not arrange a meeting. (Less)

Jack Russell Dogs can make good pets in Oregon if they match your IifestyIe. The Jack Russell Terrier is a witty, highly intelligent and trainable working dog. Jack Russells are cheeky, entertaining pets. Jack Russells do well with considerate children but do not like to be teased. Jack Russells need a dominant owner experienced in firm obedience training. The Jack Russell Terrier has strong hunting instincts and should not be trusted with small animals. This scrappy Terrier may fight with dogs with which he is not socialized from an early age. Jack Russells can live in an apartment but need plenty of exercise and do best with a yard. Jack Russells can climb and dig under fences, and need to be kept on a leash when walking.
