Jack Russell Rescue Information: The Jack Russell Terrier is a witty, highly intelligent and trainable working dog. Jack Russells are cheeky, entertaining pets. Jack Russells do well with considerate children but do not like to be teased. Jack Russells need a dominant owner experienced in firm obedience training. The Jack Russell Terrier has strong hunting instincts and should not be trusted with small animals. This scrappy Terrier may fight with dogs with which he is not socialized from an early age. Jack Russells can live in an apartment but need plenty of exercise and do best with a yard. Jack Russells can climb and dig under fences, and need to be kept on a leash when walking.

Jack Russell Trivia: The dog Eddie on the T.V. show Frasier is a Jack Russell Terrier. Jack Russell Terriers are descended from fox terriers bred by Rev. John Russell in England in the early 1800s. Jack Russell Terriers are considered by some to be the most intelligent dog breed.

Jack Russell Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults

Health: Needs to be Neutered

Chewilliger is an approximately 3 - 4 year old delightful little guy weighing about 11 pounds currently in foster. He loves to play and snuggle and has enjoyed his little foster buddy Spirit. He gets along well with other dogs and cats; if another dog is a bit dominant with him- he knows how to talk back! He is not a yapper- but will join the chorus if others start singing. I've not heard him bark. He is a bit shy, however in a minute is just as loving as can be. He loves to snuggle in your bed- but is comfortable sleeping on a couch, in his bed or just about anywhere. He has good manners all the way around and is potty trained- if you are ... (Read More)potty train savvy. He is scheduled for neutering-. There is a lot of interest in him- and if you seem to be the best family and want him sooner- There is an additional refundable deposit of $100 when you provide proof of neutering from your vet and letter from your vet attesting to your intention to schedule for neutering. Please tell me about you, your family, other pets, yard, own or rent; your expectations of your new pooch, what pooch can expect from you! Please provide this information and city in which you live with contact phone number. This is not a first come first serve placement. The objective is to find the perfect home for pooch and family. If you do not provide requested information- please do not expect a reply to your inquiry. Please provide your email to which I can respond and phone number for serious inquiries. Be prepared to provide photos of your immediate fenced yard or your intentions if not fenced- and of your family living room area with a selfie. (Less)
