Im writing for help with my jack Russell terrier/Chihuahua mix male dog. He is about 3 years old and looks like a wire hair jack. I got him from a friend of mine whos owner went to jail for drugs. Milo is a wonderful dog and companion. Housebroken, and a jolly fellow. However he has one bad trait. He bites. The only time he bites is when you reach for him. I have tried and tried, and I am so loving towards him, but it hasn't worked. I have a feeling he was abused at the previous owners. I can no longer keep him, as he just bit me very badly. I don't want to take him to a shelter, or give him to another owner knowing this problem ... (Read More)he has. I also don't want him to end up being abused or thrown in the street because of this. I really need a place for him to go where someone with experience can work with him, so he can find a forever home. He really is an awesome dog. When he first came to live with me'|.approx. 8 months ago'| wasn't this bad'|.just started with a little growling, and progressively got worse. I really need help and need to place him asap. Please let me know and I thank you. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-01-19-00297Millie (female)

Jack Russell Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

Meet Millie! This petite 1-2 yr old mutt (maybe border collie, small terrier type mix?) unceremoniously found herself at a local shelter. Shelter life did not agree with this sweet girl, and the noise and smells of such a place made her extra nervous and a little grumpy, and she nipped a vet tech. Who could blame her, its a scary place! Now that Millie has been sprung by Dog Town she is slowly getting her bearings and coming out of her shell. She has proven to be super smart dog who loves to learn and is already mastering training our staff and volunteers to use the clicker and give her lots of treats. When approached slowly and given ... (Read More)time to get to know someone she is affectionate and sweet and soon seeks you out for even more attention. She is one of those dogs with so much potential, that just needs someone to give her a little time. The rewards will be immense! Millie would be best in a home without very young kids, or those who understand she will need time to decompress and learn to trust someone. She does well with other dogs and would be fine as either an only dog, or with a canine buddy (or a few!). Millie is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and ready to go home. (Less)
