Rescue Me ID: 18-06-10-00119Bear (male)

Jack Russell Mix    Age: Young Adult

Personality: Average Energy
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Bear is a 3 year old terrier mix. He has been with us since March and has proven that the kennel environment is not for him. Unfortunately during his stay with us he has developed possessiveness with toys in his kennel and kennel possessiveness in general. Due to the issues that have popped up, Bear does have a bite history. We think fast movements startle him so he becomes reactive but he could be completely different in a home. Not to portray his bad side in whole, he will play catch with you and actually lays the tennis ball down at your feet waiting for you to throw it again.

Animal ID: MADDIE URGENT FOSTERSWEET MADDIE DIES SOON (female)

Jack Russell Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Meet Maddie,a 2 year old, 31 lb, female Red & White Hound mix recently brought in as a homeless dog to a high kill shelter in the south. Shelter says 'Health: She is in heat but looks pretty good overall. Temperament: She is a little nervous, was a little shy about coming to the inside portion of the kennel to see us with the other dogs barking in the shelter, but she did overcome that with us coaxing her! She walked up to me and immediately dropped her head into my lap, and let us get the leash on her. She was ok to greet some of the dogs, but the boys were ALL interested in her, obviously, so we decided to just take her out and let her ... (Read More)meet the shelter managers dog - who is a spayed female - to see if we could get a better idea of how she does with others. She did GREAT with her! She was a little unsure about the cat. She just watched her, and if she got too close, would get up and walk away. Speaking of that, I think she would be PERFECTLY content to be a lap/couch dog with someone just rubbing her head! She seemed to enjoy that greatly!' Maddie needs a hero. She must find a home or rescue by Monday June 25@4:00pm or she will be killed Tuesday early. A local Bucks County Rescue will save MADDIE, vet and transport her to Bucks County if a foster, adopter and or sponsor steps up. We can't do this without your help. If you can help save sweet pup please email us at barb@lulusrescue.org OR respond to this post. Lastly please share this pup far and wide. Your share may be the one that saves her life. The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated. NOTE REGARDING ADOPTION FEES: PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT MOST TIMES ADOPTION FEE DOES NOT COVER OUR RESCUE COSTS, ESPECIALLY IF A RESCUE HAS MEDICAL ISSUES THAT AREN'T IMMEDIATELY APPARENT. ONCE WE RESCUE A DOG WE DON'T DUMP IT BECAUSE IT MAY HAVE SPECIAL NEEDS; WE CARE FOR IT. THIS IS WHY WE ASK FOR PLEDGES AND DONATIONS. AS RESPECTS ADOPTION FEE, IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD THIS FEE THEN IT MAY NOT BE A GOOD TIME TO ADOPT. (Less)

JRT lovers, meet this adorable pair of boys looking for their forever home together -- Chance and Casey! Chance is 2 years,10 pounds; Casey 3 years, 12 pounds. The boys each have an independent side, not completely bonded. They do have great fun, play so well together. They have pretty good potty skills and walk well on a leash. Both need some time to feel comfortable with new people, Casey being more guarded, prefers quiet areas. Both are very loving with their foster dad. Chance still has a lot of puppy in him. Both are typical JRT high energy. Both Chance and Casey are doing well with their crate training. Once they get to know ... (Read More)you, the boys are great companions. Their ideal home would be with one or two adults and not a lot of visitors.
