Hello there big world. I am Sadie Girl and I'm a very chill and cool dog. I came to Raintree Jacks a few months ago after someone found me roaming and I had a dislocated hip and a slug of buckshot in me. I had surgery on my hip and it's back in place and I'm running around and loving life. I have been spayed and I had my rabies, DHLPP and bordetella vaccines and I'm heartworm negative and on prevention. I am a loyal, quiet, chill and such a pretty girl. Jack Russell Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

CoCo is a 3 year old wonderful female dog. She is extremely sweet and loves to cuddle and wrestle with her little brother too. Unfortunately, as our children have gotten older and louder, CoCo has become very nervous and anxious. Anytime someone raises a voice, she hides. We got her as a puppy and therefore have noticed her behavior change in the past 6 months or so. We have been having behavior issues with one of our children and has resulted in this increased anxiousness in CoCo. After much debate, we have decided that we need to find a quieter home for our sweet girl to live in.

Energetic, loveable, outside dog. Not housetrained, loves to run and chase birds and squirrels. A HUGE yard or a farm would be best. Very sweet and adores my 4 year old so I know he's amazing with kids. If he is in a fence, he will most likely eventually dig out. He is chipped and fixed. He is a herding type of dog and I cannot express how absolutely sweet he is. he will also sit in your lap as soon as you sit down. He's amazing with people and other pets, he just needs a very large space to run and play.

Rescue Me ID: 17-07-15-00471Hugo (male)

Jack Russell Mix    Age: Young Adult

Date into Rescue: 6/3/2017 Reason for being in rescue: Rural shelter, stray. Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? heartworm positive. I will be sent home with a years worth of heartworm prevention. Weight: Estimated 13 lbs Height: Estimated 11' at the shoulder. Adoption Fee: $200 Fence needed? A fence would be great until I learn to leash walk. What kind of home would be best for me? I need an understanding quiet home that is willing to work with me. I would love to be the only beloved prince in the household. What is my personality like? I was found in another state and brought to one of their rural shelters as ... (Read More)a stray. My past is unsure but I would love to find a family to help me forget all of the bad stuff. I am head shy.. If you come at me to fast with your hand I will tuck down because it startles me. I am very curious and love to explore my surroundings. My caregivers say I am timid and I need a little work.. but they all know there is a bright fun guy under all of this fear. 7/12/2017: Since Hugo has been here a few weeks to settle in, we have noticed he is a very head strong type of guy. He does not look for anyone elses opinion and has his own little mind. Hugo is still a little shy but he is showing us more and more of his true personality. Hugo would make a great dog for a person that enjoys independent dogs that knows how to keep themselves happy. How do I act when I first meet new people? Friendly but shy. More tips and tidbits: I don't care much for treats or toys so far. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. My age: Estimated birth date 6/14/2014 Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-07-15-00305Abbie in Rocky Mount (female)

Jack Russell Mix    Age: Young Adult

Date into Rescue: 6/30/17 Reason for being in rescue: stray to local shelter Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? none Weight: 10 lb Adoption Fee: $299 Fence needed? No What kind of home would be best for me? Abbie is still very much a puppy, so she is seeking a home where her people are home more than they're away so she can continue learning and socializing. She gets along well with everybody and everything. The only thing she's not a fan of? Cats. Doggie friends only, please. What is my personality like? Very sweet and loving! How do I act when I first meet new people? Loves people! Other tips and tidbits: ... (Read More)Abbie is definitely food motivated and eats very well. House trained? Abbie is still working on her house training. Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. My age: est. 2 yrs old per the shelter, but I am still very puppy so may be younger PUPPY POLICY: ~~Thank you for considering adding a puppy to your family. Puppies can be a joyous experience but they can also be a tremendous amount of work. You need to be prepared for that work. Because our goal is to place each of our dogs in forever homes, we are especially cautious where we put puppies. Our ideal puppy adopters are: *experienced dog owners with a solid record of excellent vet care of their previous pets *be scheduled away from home for no more than 4 hours per day *and for those gone 4 hours per day have another canine companion in the home *be stay at home type of people (work at home, home schoolers, retired, etc) If you fit this criteria, please apply for this puppy. If you do not fit this criteria, we strongly encourage you to look at our adoptable adult dogs. The number one misconception that we hear routinely from new dog owners is that they want a puppy because they do not think they can handle correcting past bad behaviors or resolving baggage. Not every adoptable rescue dog carries such baggage. Many adult dogs are well bred, well trained dogs who have lost their families through no fault of their own. The second misconception we hear is that adult dogs can not bond with a new family. This again is not a true statement. Adult dogs are ready and eager to give you their love. In return, you get a family pet that is a known quantity, known size and shape and color and ready to start on the new adventure, their life with you. Lastly, training a puppy correctly is a tremendous commitment of time and energy. This is why we ask the puppy seeker have more time at home than the average working family. Puppies are gregarious and social creatures who crave attention and positive direction. You need the extra time to do it right.~~ Please note - we do not ship dogs.
