He is a very loving dog that loves to run so he will need lots of open space that is fenced in because if he gets outside without a leash it will be impossible to get him back. She has a problem marking indoors if a male is present. Fixing should remedy this problem but it is recommended that she has constant access to outdoors to use the bathroom appropriately. I am a military member who is forced to give her up for adoption. The amount for adoption fee is to cover expenses such as vaccinations and advertisement through multiple forms of media. Hi my name is Lola and I enjoy basking in the sun or cuddling under a blanket. I'm used to having my owner home during the day so I'd like my next home to be a similar environment. I am house-trained and crate-trained. I truly love being in the sun so if I could have a fenced in backyard to play in, that would be wonderful. I do well with kids but think a home with older children would be best. I'm not so good with cats or other dogs (the exception being Beagles). This is a happy, even FUNNY, animal, who has a powerful need to bond with a person. He is highly PEOPLE oriented. When we're outdoors, Beauregard, loves to catch Frisbees, or chase a ball, and ALWAYS comes IMMEDIATELY when called. His issue? Separation anxiety. He does not like to be left alone, and tends to chew things up. I have 3 dogs and cannot keep this puppy any longer. He was born in my home, and his parents are still here. (long story) but as much as I stewed about this decision, I realized I am NOT able to give Beauregard the attention and time he needs. I work too many hours. He does get along very well with other dogs, and loves ... (Read More)both kids and adults. He is not aggressive, though he does bark at strangers. (no surprise!) This little guy is a nice dog. He doesnt try to knock you down. I have 2 boys and he is well behaved with them. All of my rescues come from animal shelters so I have limited info. I make sure that they are all utd on vaccinations. I also have them spayed/neutered. I do keep them outside in a kennel. they are let out on a chain leash because they chew through the cloth ones. Jack Russell Dogs can make good pets in Virginia if they match your IifestyIe. The Jack Russell Terrier is a witty, highly intelligent and trainable working dog. Jack Russells are cheeky, entertaining pets. Jack Russells do well with considerate children but do not like to be teased. Jack Russells need a dominant owner experienced in firm obedience training. The Jack Russell Terrier has strong hunting instincts and should not be trusted with small animals. This scrappy Terrier may fight with dogs with which he is not socialized from an early age. Jack Russells can live in an apartment but need plenty of exercise and do best with a yard. Jack Russells can climb and dig under fences, and need to be kept on a leash when walking.
