Rescue Me ID: 17-01-22-00072Elsa (female)
Elsa is a wonderful family dog. She had come to us from an unfortunate situation and had lost her owner. We took her in as a foster/rescue and now she needs to find a forever home to call her own! She has always been great with my kids and other dogs, Male and female. Cats are no problem as well. She is house trained but does need to be walked or in a fenced back yard. She does not have a great recall so if your yard is not fenced she would need to be on a leash.

Rescue Me ID: 17-01-14-00504Aaron (male)
* Please apply online at www.6dogrees.com by doing so you will get a response quicker. Meet Aaron! I am a 7-month old, 15-pound, neutered brown and fawn male terrier mix. My adoption fee is $575. I am a unique boy; I look like a BIG dog, and yet I am small. I have a big personality and love to smile. I am very happy all of the time, and bounce on my hind legs with joy to let you know how appreciative I am of my new life. I love to run and race around the yard - it is what makes me happy. I am looking for a family that will be dedicated to playing and working with me every day to ensure that I get the proper exercise. 6dogrees Rescue expects that my new family will take me to puppy class; I enjoy learning new things - and manners are always good for us dogs to have to impress your friends. I am being fostered with dogs my size, and would love a home that has a dog that needs a friend. I am learning to be crate trained, and I am also learning about potty training. Due to my size, I cannot go to a home with children under that age of 10 years old; I will also require a fully fenced yard so that I do not run away. I am curious, and this is all new to me. Fences help protect me and establish boundaries. A fenced yard to ensure that I get the exercise and activity that I need on a daily basis. A grain-free diet is also a must to keep me healthy and my coat beautiful. Aaron is a rescue dog, and rescue dogs require routine and stability. Please be prepared for a lifelong commitment before applying. Ideally, Aaron should be pottied every 4 hours (he is learning about pottied training and is just a puppy). Dogs cannot be left alone for 8 hours per day. Home check and plan must be carefully thought out and presented at time of interview. Applications accepted online at 6dogrees.com. The adoption fee is $575. My adoption fee will go to save other dogs at the high-kill shelters in California and is fully tax deduction (my Rescue, 6dogrees Rescue is a 501c3), and will provide a donation receipt. I am fostered North of Seattle, and if interested please submit an online adoption application at www.6dogrees.com and we will review and get back to you promptly. An adoption application must be filled out for all inquiries and prior to a meet and greet. We will review and respond to applications, not all applications will necessarily be approved for a meet and greet. Home check prior to adoption approval. Adoption fee include: Neuter or spay, microchip, current vaccines (DA2PP, rabies, bordatella) de-worming, flea treatment, and heart worm testing. We also include a 15 minute training consultation with a certified behaviorist trainer and 30-day pet insurance. 6dogrees Rescue is a small passionate Seattle based 501c3 non-profit charitable organization that focuses on saving the lives of urgent dogs on their last hours at high kill shelters from the state of California where pet overpopulation is at epidemic levels and kill shelters are the norm. 100% of all fees collected are spent on the dogs, we 'Save it forward'; so each time a dog is adopted we are allowed to save another. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and are in place to allow thorough care for the dogs. 6dogrees adoptions are limited to residents of Washington State. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-10-17-00025Trixie (Idaho) (female)
Trixie is a 27#, spayed, microchipped, terrier cross - although we are not certain what she is crossed with. She is 3-4 years old and house trained, leash trained, crate trained and an absolutely wonderful little girl. Trixie rarely makes a sound except when she's alone and whimpers because she wants to be with people. This little munchkin has been on quite the adventure in the last few months. Originally, Trixie belonged to an older lady in Arkansas who could no longer take care of her due to crippling health conditions. Trixie's mum asked April, who writes for a long haul trucker magazine, to help find Trixie a home so that Trixie did not have to go to a kill shelter. April asked Journey Home Rescue for help and as a result, she spent a few weeks on the road with a trucker as he worked his way across the country until he stopped in Idaho. When Trixie got to the vet, it was determined that she has a few food allergies, so she will need special (but not super expensive) food and she is currently on Keflex (a broad spectrum antibiotic) and prednisone to calm down her skin and prevent any further skin infections. Trixie does well with other dogs, cats and people. She would be great in a home with older people and no kids. She's a great little girl that just wants to be a couch potato and be loved on by her people. Trixie currently resides at our Idaho rescue. Adoption fee is $250.00. Transport may be available to approved adopters (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-07-07-00361Sami (male)
Sami's Info... I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, not good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats. Sami's Story... What do you get when you cross the loveable lap dog known as the Papillon with the tiny firecracker known as the Jack Russell Terrier? Sami, the adorable little creature you see before you. Sami is both a lap dog AND a whirling dervish. Often her Papillon side takes over, and she is calm and cuddly. But the Jack Russell Terrier in her craves activity, so this little cutie pie needs a good exercise session twice a day. Whether it's taking her for a lively walk morning and evening, or heading out in the back yard to chase a ball, Sami needs this activity to keep her healthy, happy and engaged. When given enough exercise, this pretty and sweet little dog is a loveable lap dog who loves to snuggle. She can also be playful, funny and goofy at times. Sami has a medium length white coat with black and brown markings, cute perky ears and a dazzling smile. She is just 5 years old, very healthy, up to date on shots, spayed and perfectly house broken. She is also crate trained. Sami weighs 12 pounds. Sami is such a sweetheart! She is just 5, perfectly healthy and perfectly house broken. She has been spayed and is up to date on shots. Her heartbroken owners are having to find her a home without children or other pets after an incident where she nipped their crawliing baby over a toy. This has never occurred before, but for the safety of their baby, the couple needs to find someone special to take over ownership of this sweet little dog. Sami is very cuddly and affectionate. A great lap dog and very comforting to snuggle with. All supplies will be included. The owners would love to keep in touch with her. Please offer her a loving home here: http://findmypetahome.com/sami/ There is a $75 rehoming/adoption fee. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-06-13-00221ZIGGY (male)
I have 2 very healthy well trained Jack Russell terriers and I would like to keep the Mom (Jackie) and son (ziggy) together as they have never been separated. Very well trained, never an accident in my house, even after leaving them for over 12 hour day. They bark some when neighbor cars go by, but other than that, they are very well behaved and affectionate. Wanting a good home with a retired person who is at home more than I am. I just am gone so much they need more attention than I can give them.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Jack Russell in Washington
Jack Russell Dogs can make good pets in Washington if they match your IifestyIe. The Jack Russell Terrier is a witty, highly intelligent and trainable working dog. Jack Russells are cheeky, entertaining pets. Jack Russells do well with considerate children but do not like to be teased. Jack Russells need a dominant owner experienced in firm obedience training. The Jack Russell Terrier has strong hunting instincts and should not be trusted with small animals. This scrappy Terrier may fight with dogs with which he is not socialized from an early age. Jack Russells can live in an apartment but need plenty of exercise and do best with a yard. Jack Russells can climb and dig under fences, and need to be kept on a leash when walking.
