Rescue Me ID: 14-09-23-00119Luke (male)

Jack Russell Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Luke is a very active 2 year old boy with lovely cat like amber eyes who would love nothing more than an active family to adopt him. He loves to go for walks and run around outside. He would make a great running or hiking companion and I can definitely see him on a boat in a little life jacket. Luke gets along well with most dogs, but is playful and high energy so another playful puppy like dog would suit him best. Luke plays a bit rough and play nips therefore young children would likely be put off by him. 8+ preferred. He is not dominant nor aggressive, just young and full of life. With some guidance, consistent exercise and training Luke ... (Read More)will make a fabulous forever companion for someone or a family. Will it be you? (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-09-18-00015Jack (male)

Jack Russell Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Jack is spunky, happy and energetic 7-month-old pointer mix/jrt (we think) who weighs approx 45 pounds and could easily reach 55 pounds. We are completely guessing as to what his breed might be, but who cares because this dog is awesome! He is all puppy and will need additional socialization, training and structure. He doesn't walk too well on a leash and would prefer to run around and play with his buddies. He will need to be adopted by an active family that enjoys dog parks, running hiking, swimming and the occasional camping trip. Jack is a sweet guy who is so happy to be loved on and is thrilled when he can run free. He will do great ... (Read More)with children, but may knock them over until he learns a few manners. He's a big baby who doesn't really understand his size. He does fantastic with other dogs and would prefer to go to a home with another dog who he can wrestle and romp around with. We are unsure how he will react with cats but we think with proper training he will do just fine. Jack is the PERFECT HIKING PARTNER! Jack must be adopted to someone with a large backyard and secure fence. Small yards or townhouses will be considered ONLY if doggy day care is a weekly occurrence. This dog is not only a puppy, but an active guy. He will need daily mental and physical stimulation. Jack is neutered, micro chipped, vaccinated and tested negative for heart worm. His adoption fee is $400. Serious inquiries only. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-07-20-00174Ryker (male)

Jack Russell    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Ryker is a sweet heart who just wants to cuddle. He's not big on being petted but just wants someone to snuggle all day long. Even though his breed is high energy, it really only shows when you walk through the door. He sleeps more than any dog I've ever met! He has separation anxiety which is why he's he re-do find a good home that had the time for him that he needs. I am not a good home for him as of late and it's just heartbreaking. He likes boat rides and tennis balls. He likes to look out windows of all sorts and he'll even lock you out of your car if you leave the keys in the ignition. He sleeps in bed and will keep you toasty warm ... (Read More)in the winter as he produces heat like no tomorrow. He has been contained in an average size back yard for the past 6 years (if left inside, he tends to do things like eat blinds...) Lately he has been getting out of the yard and I can't stand kenneling him for 10-12hrs a day while I'm at work. He knows tricks and is very smart. He can jump like Michael Jordan. His leash manners need improvement but only because he's been running free most of our time together. He needs a good home. He likes kids but be weary of other animals. He has hung around with many large breeds but around some small breeds similar to his size he becomes quite aggressive. He needs a yard to run all that energy out in. He hates being wet and won't even swim so a dog house and a heated dog bed have always been available to him. He also tends to be drawn to females and loves their companionship. (Less)

Jack Russell Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Yoda is an amazing little boy. Saved on the last day of his life from high-kill shelter in San Bernardino, CA, he has been with me for nearly three months and ready to go to a loving home. He loves his human. He was abused by a man as he barks at men but loves, loves, loves women. He just wants to sit in your lap and give you kisses - really! He likes to play with other dogs but his focus is on his human. He cuddles up and sleeps next to my head every night. He is NOT an outdoor dog. He loves to go for car rides. He is somewhat house trained but will need additional help in that area. Other than that, he wants to be with his human 24/7. Only ... (Read More)high energy if he is playing with another dog. Otherwise, he is happy to lay next to you or follow you around - he weighs in at 14 lbs and is 3 years old. A wonderful companion for a woman. Truly! I am so happy I was able to save his life. He is a happy boy as long as he is with his human. (Less)
