Jack Russell Rescue Information: The Jack Russell Terrier is a witty, highly intelligent and trainable working dog. Jack Russells are cheeky, entertaining pets. Jack Russells do well with considerate children but do not like to be teased. Jack Russells need a dominant owner experienced in firm obedience training. The Jack Russell Terrier has strong hunting instincts and should not be trusted with small animals. This scrappy Terrier may fight with dogs with which he is not socialized from an early age. Jack Russells can live in an apartment but need plenty of exercise and do best with a yard. Jack Russells can climb and dig under fences, and need to be kept on a leash when walking.

Jack Russell Trivia: The dog Eddie on the T.V. show Frasier is a Jack Russell Terrier. A Jack Russell Terrier saved five New Zealand children from being attacked by two pit bulls in 2007. Rev. Russell's Terrier, Trump, was depicted in a painting commissioned by Edward VII, Prince of Wales, who was a friend of the parson.

[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] Sporty He is an older dog that was well trained and enjoyed being with his owners. Sporty was housebroken and will be again once he can walk. Sporty has lost the use of his back legs and needs a wheelchair to move around easily. He sleeps most of the time now because of his difficulty walking. Sporty is extremely loyal and friendly pet, once he gets to know you. He prefers women, but can live with anyone once he gets comfortable with them. I can no longer take care of him and hopes that he goes to some with the patience to teach him to us a doggie wheelchair. (I will supply one). Please help him..

Jack Russell Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Very High Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

My family has had Larry since he was a pup. He was originally rescued from a shelter in California. The reason why we are rehoming him is because my son is just not being responsible enough and it is not fair to Larry. He needs to go to a home where he has a lot of room to play, run around outside or to with someone who is very active. Larry is nervous with new people and dogs but is not aggressive. He is a barker and will let you know if anyone is near your property. He is crate trained. Larry is up to date on his vaccines, is neutered and microchipped Has recently had his teeth cleaned. Is in very good health and has been taken care of ... (Read More)pretty well. He has been raised around children and other dogs. My preference would be for him to go to a home with other playful dogs. I do want his next home to be his forever home. Would also be nice to every now and then let me know how hes doing. It is important for his new potential owners to know that he is a barker and high energy. Feel free to ask any questions. (Less)

Thanks for your cooperation!*** Name: Buck. Age:10 yrs. Breed:Jack Russell Terrier Mix. Weight:16.2 lbs. Sex:Male. Spayed/Neutered:Yes. Shots Up to Date: Yes. Microchipped: Yes. Good with Dogs?Yes. Good with Cats? Unknown. Good with Kids? Unknown. Adoption Fee: $450. About Buck: Buck is roughly 10 years old and about 16.2 lbs. He is ... (Read More)so super sweet! He loves being around people! Especially men! He loves to play and going for long walks! He is also great with kids good around other dogs. We are have not had him around cats so we are not sure how he is with them. He is a runner though and needs to go to a home with a fenced yard. Buck is an absolute love and is looking for his new family. Adoption fee $450. Buck's History: Buck needed out of the shelter after his owner dropped him off with his food, treats and a weird hard plastic ball that was a mangled mess from chewing His dad said he dropped him off because he was a runner and he kept getting out and he didn't want to have to deal with that anymore. Apparently there's a little more to this boy's story than his dad shared. This sweet guy has a scar wrapped twice around his leg and a huge scar on his face as well as what appears to be several bite marks. We may never know what this sweet boy's past looked like but we can certainly assure him that his future will be filled with nothing but love! Buck's Medical: He needed an extremely expensive dental which we got for him, he needed his canines removed and several other teeth. In the end, they pulled a total of 7 teeth, most likely due to his chewing the plastic ball out of sheer boredom! WE ARE NOT A SHELTER. WE ARE VOLUNTEERS WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Do not contact us to come look at a dog. We will contact you once we've received and reviewed your completed application. Thanks for your patience and cooperation! (Less)

Jack Russell Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Buddy lived his life chained to a tree, starving, being attacked by other animals until someone noticed him. At first Buddy couldn't settle down or be quiet but after 2-3 weeks he is able to just chill in the puppy room. We are working on basic commands but he doesn't appear to know any yet. This kid needs someone who will love him and take care of him and I believe he will settle in and learn how to be a normal dog. He may even be able to be with other dogs but we won't know until he tries.
