Rescue Me ID: 17-03-27-00141Vinny (male)
Meet Vinny... a very happy, playful 18mo old, 12lb boy. He's very curious and is always ready to explore new things. He's a little, leggy guy that would love to explore trails and even go jogging with his people. He's wonderful with other dogs and would love to have a like size playmate in home. Typical of the Jack Russell breeds, he's not good with cats or birds. Vinny loves children and would be a wonderful family member with a few kids over the age of 7yrs old. He's a young, active boy that still needs a bit of training but he loves to learn and please his people. He should not be left alone for more than 5-6hrs each day. Becasue Vinny can be a bit dominant and protective, he mus also must have an experienced owner to help him remember that his job is only to be a friendly, fun companion dog. (Less)

Animal ID: BuddyBuddy (male)
Buddy lived his life chained to a tree, starving, being attacked by other animals until someone noticed him. At first Buddy couldn't settle down or be quiet but after 2-3 weeks he is able to just chill in the puppy room. We are working on basic commands but he doesn't appear to know any yet. This kid needs someone who will love him and take care of him and I believe he will settle in and learn how to be a normal dog. He may even be able to be with other dogs but we won't know until he tries.

Rescue Me ID: 17-01-22-00072Elsa (female)
Elsa is a wonderful family dog. She had come to us from an unfortunate situation and had lost her owner. We took her in as a foster/rescue and now she needs to find a forever home to call her own! She has always been great with my kids and other dogs, Male and female. Cats are no problem as well. She is house trained but does need to be walked or in a fenced back yard. She does not have a great recall so if your yard is not fenced she would need to be on a leash.

Rescue Me ID: 17-01-14-00504Aaron (male)
* Please apply online at www.6dogrees.com by doing so you will get a response quicker. Meet Aaron! I am a 7-month old, 15-pound, neutered brown and fawn male terrier mix. My adoption fee is $575. I am a unique boy; I look like a BIG dog, and yet I am small. I have a big personality and love to smile. I am very happy all of the time, and bounce on my hind legs with joy to let you know how appreciative I am of my new life. I love to run and race around the yard - it is what makes me happy. I am looking for a family that will be dedicated to playing and working with me every day to ensure that I get the proper exercise. 6dogrees Rescue expects that my new family will take me to puppy class; I enjoy learning new things - and manners are always good for us dogs to have to impress your friends. I am being fostered with dogs my size, and would love a home that has a dog that needs a friend. I am learning to be crate trained, and I am also learning about potty training. Due to my size, I cannot go to a home with children under that age of 10 years old; I will also require a fully fenced yard so that I do not run away. I am curious, and this is all new to me. Fences help protect me and establish boundaries. A fenced yard to ensure that I get the exercise and activity that I need on a daily basis. A grain-free diet is also a must to keep me healthy and my coat beautiful. Aaron is a rescue dog, and rescue dogs require routine and stability. Please be prepared for a lifelong commitment before applying. Ideally, Aaron should be pottied every 4 hours (he is learning about pottied training and is just a puppy). Dogs cannot be left alone for 8 hours per day. Home check and plan must be carefully thought out and presented at time of interview. Applications accepted online at 6dogrees.com. The adoption fee is $575. My adoption fee will go to save other dogs at the high-kill shelters in California and is fully tax deduction (my Rescue, 6dogrees Rescue is a 501c3), and will provide a donation receipt. I am fostered North of Seattle, and if interested please submit an online adoption application at www.6dogrees.com and we will review and get back to you promptly. An adoption application must be filled out for all inquiries and prior to a meet and greet. We will review and respond to applications, not all applications will necessarily be approved for a meet and greet. Home check prior to adoption approval. Adoption fee include: Neuter or spay, microchip, current vaccines (DA2PP, rabies, bordatella) de-worming, flea treatment, and heart worm testing. We also include a 15 minute training consultation with a certified behaviorist trainer and 30-day pet insurance. 6dogrees Rescue is a small passionate Seattle based 501c3 non-profit charitable organization that focuses on saving the lives of urgent dogs on their last hours at high kill shelters from the state of California where pet overpopulation is at epidemic levels and kill shelters are the norm. 100% of all fees collected are spent on the dogs, we 'Save it forward'; so each time a dog is adopted we are allowed to save another. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and are in place to allow thorough care for the dogs. 6dogrees adoptions are limited to residents of Washington State. (Less)

Jack Russell Dogs can make good pets in Washington if they match your IifestyIe. The Jack Russell Terrier is a witty, highly intelligent and trainable working dog. Jack Russells are cheeky, entertaining pets. Jack Russells do well with considerate children but do not like to be teased. Jack Russells need a dominant owner experienced in firm obedience training. The Jack Russell Terrier has strong hunting instincts and should not be trusted with small animals. This scrappy Terrier may fight with dogs with which he is not socialized from an early age. Jack Russells can live in an apartment but need plenty of exercise and do best with a yard. Jack Russells can climb and dig under fences, and need to be kept on a leash when walking.
