    Jack Russell Dogs can make good pets in Oman if they match your IifestyIe. The Jack Russell Terrier is a witty, highly intelligent and trainable working dog. Jack Russells are cheeky, entertaining pets. Jack Russells do well with considerate children but do not like to be teased. Jack Russells need a dominant owner experienced in firm obedience training. The Jack Russell Terrier has strong hunting instincts and should not be trusted with small animals. This scrappy Terrier may fight with dogs with which he is not socialized from an early age. Jack Russells can live in an apartment but need plenty of exercise and do best with a yard. Jack Russells can climb and dig under fences, and need to be kept on a leash when walking.

    The dog Eddie on the T.V. show Frasier is a Jack Russell Terrier. A Jack Russell Terrier saved five New Zealand children from being attacked by two pit bulls in 2007. Jack Russell Terriers are descended from fox terriers bred by Rev. John Russell in England in the early 1800s. Rev. Russell's Terrier, Trump, was depicted in a painting commissioned by Edward VII, Prince of Wales, who was a friend of the parson. Jack Russell Terriers are considered by some to be the most intelligent dog breed.
